Cookies

We make cookies often here. Usually once a week, the kids and I make a batch. We share them with friends, took some to a new neighbor and an old neighbor. We love cookies. Today, Eamon decided he want to make sugar cookies. We made the dough, and while Aine was sleeping he selected the cookie cutters to use. Our cookies were all sea/water creatures. He and Aine had a lot of fun frosting their creations. In the end, they were quite tastey.

Hiding

H: Aine, are you eating beans in my bedroom?
A: No, beans hiding in your bedroom.

A Bill

While eating grapes this morning, Eamon said he has a bill, and Aine does not.

H: You have a BIB (as he had a frog bib on).
E: No, I have a bill.
H: I don't know what you mean.
E: You know. Like pelicans.
H: Ahhhhh, I got it.

All Aboard!

Eamon recently had to mail a few of his trains back to the manufacturer. The company issued a voluntary recall due to lead paint. We packaged up James and his tender along with a cargo box. He took it to the post office and told the person at the counter what he was doing. He is eagerly awaiting his replacement trains.

High Temperatures

With our summer heat setting in, we have been going to the park in the early morning. The kids enjoy the time outside while eating their breakfast.

Amusement Rides

Aine likes to give her babies rides on the elliptical. She tells them to hold on, because it is a fast ride.

Getting Bigger or Discovering Fashion terms

E: Mama, those pants are too small for you.
H: Why do you say that?
E: Look at the legs.
H: These are called capri pants. The legs are shorter than regular pants.
E: Why?

Keeping Clean

I am making a few aprons for the kids and as gifts. They are pretty cute. They are each different as far as pockets and embellishments. I am pleased with the look.

Next an apron for me and as a housewarming gift.
