Going Back to Cali

We decided to head to Orange County, California for the weekend. We left on Thursday when Dave came home from work. Everyone did really well on the ride. We spent two days at Laguna Beach. Uncle Petey and Auntie Lori spent some time with us at the beach building castles and running in the waves.The kiddos had a blast and Dave learned where he did not apply sunscreen.After the beach we headed to the Aquarium of the Pacific with Grandpa Cates. Grandpa Cates gave us a tour and showed us his favorite exhibits - the Lorikeet Forest and the Shark Lagoon. We were able to see so many colorful inhabitants of the ocean. It was fantastic.
We drove back home on Sunday after spending some time at the park.
We left town via I-8 after driving by G'pa Cates employer and having lunch with one of his coworkers and her family.

We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.
