Cooler Evenings

With a storm blowing through, we welcomed a bit of relief from the hot days. After several hours at the library, we hit the park. Two huge piles of sand on the volleyball court were the biggest draw. Thunder, lightening and a bit of rain brought an end to the visit, but we really enjoyed our time outside.

  1. I love the color or your knitting project. I heard on the weather channel that the D.C. area got a pretty good rain/thunderstorm today, but it looks like you had some fun before things got wet. Hope you enjoy the cooler temps.

Kids and a dirt/sand pile!!! A combo made in heaven. Glad you are getting some heat relief.....care to move some of that to the midwest???

    1. The matching was serendipitous. I glanced down and noticed quite a red theme. I am making a swingy Garter Stitch sweater. It has been very hot here. The cool evening was a pleasant respite.

  3. I love all the pictures of your kids living life. It's like a little peek into my kids' lives when they grow a bit bigger.

  6. we too have been enjoying some cooler weather. it was quite welcome this morning during my workout, which was rather intense for 27 minutes. and then i came home and worked in the garden for a few hours, something i'd never attempt during the day most summer days. right now, aidan is sitting outside at his veggie stand, patiently waiting for customers, and reading a comic book from the library :)
