Today we went for a hike on the Lost Dog Wash/Ringtail Loop trails in the
McDowell Sonoran Preserve. I used to volunteer regularly with the Preserve as a steward until Aine was born. It has been too long since I hiked these trails. The Preserve now has a very nice trailhead, signage and maps.

We hiked 3 miles and observed many wildflowers as well as cacti. We saw purple, white, orange and red flowers. We spotted quail as well as some lizards. I spotted a rabbit, but it was too quick for the others. It was wonderful. Both kiddos did a fantastic job. Neither was carried. It was a wonderful day.
