Step's Junk Funk
We are continuing to enjoy the summer program through our local library. Today we enjoyed the sights and sounds of Step's Junk Funk Two artists performed for us tilizing the sounds of found objects and bodies. We saw them perform laundry, tea time, Step Boom Bop, the Ladder and much more. It was a lot of fun and insprired us to make music when we came home.

A: Mama, I hurt my toe.
H: Which one?
A: This one - the one on the end?

Juggling and Illusions
Eamon and Aine love magic, so we headed to the Tempe Library summer program today to see a little. We were able to watch Craig Davis perform juggling and magic acts. It was a lot of fun and led to a lot of "How did he do that?" discussions. Eamon liked when he stood on a loose rope and juggled. Of course, he felt it would have been better had he ridden the unicycle and juggled on the rope.

Helping
Benton loves to help. Today he decided he wanted to help mop. He used the mop for a bit and then decided the bucket was much more fun.

Remembering Diesel
Much has been discussed about Unkey Tim and his reptiles. I have relayed to Eamon and Aine much about Diesel the departed bearded dragon as well as Grandma finding snakes on her stairs. Today they were able to see not only a bearded dragon, but many other amazing reptiles including a huge python that took up several tables. At the end of the Reptile Adventure program with our local library, they were even able to touch the python. No mentions of getting their own snakes or lizards, but I am sure it will come.

Route 66 to Williams

We traveled along Route 66 to Williams for a day trip exploring Arizona. Dave found a book on Route 66, and we decided to take one of the planned route it illustrated. It was a lot of fun. We hiked a bit on the old Route 66, explored Williams, and saw the Christmas Carol train. We all really enjoy our exploration of Arizona and all it has to offer, see and do.
