Jerome

We have been lucky enough to get a visit from Pap. With an extra day off, Dave thought it would be nice to check out Jerome. We packed up the minivan and headed out.
On the way to Jerome, we also checked out Tuzigoot. At Tuzigoot, we walked around the ancient village thinking about how the Sinaqua lived. This peaceful people were farmers and are believed to have left the area around 1400.

From Tuzigoot, Jerome is a quick trip up the mountain. Jerome is coined the "Largest Ghost Town in America." We learned a bit about mining and saw a few of the old buildings.
Checking out the "Sliding Jail"
