Holiday Dance Recital

Aine takes dance one a week at a local dance studio. The class is a combination class for an hour and a half. It covers ballet, tap and gymnastics. She LOVES it. She attends with her best buddy and cousin, Rachel. Her other female cousins also have class there, so she is able to see everyone. She is learning a lot and participated in the holiday production. She was great. She smiled the whole time and really enjoyed herself!

Everyday Happenings

Enough Time

Today we shopped for Ashlyn's 5th Birthday present. While we were loading up in the van to leave, Eamon asked if we were going to her party. I had to tell him, "No, not this year." He wanted to know why, so I explained that Texas is a long drive.

E: How long will it take?
H: Two days?
E: When is her birthday?
H: September 26
E: No, WHEN?
H: Wednesday?
E: No, WHEN?
H: I told you, Wednesday, September 26.
E: No, how many days?
H: Oh, three.
E: Then if it only takes two days to drive, we can make it.

Now that's Sharp

Eamon and Ashlyn were discussing the merits of axes in the car the other day.

Eamon: An axe is sharp. Sharp as your fingernails or toenails.

Ashlyn: I'm not sure about that.

Boss Nathan the shark

Ashlyn and Eamon love swimming. They especially love when Boss Nathan "attacks" their ship as the shark, bouncing and throwing them into the water.

Hmmm....

H: Can you give Mama a hug?
A: shakes head no
H: Can I give you a hug?
A: shakes head no
H: Are you grumpy?
A: nods head yes
H: Do you know who else is grumpy in the morning?
A: while nodding, "Ashlyn"

My Cousin

Mr Matt (art teacher): Eamon, how old are you?

Eamon: I'm three. My birthday is April 25th, and I will be four. My cousin, Ashlyn, she's four. She lives in Texas. She's my friend. I'm going to drive and visit her.

I think Mr Matt got a little more than he bargained for.

Playsilk Madness

Eamon & Ashlyn love wearing playsilk capes. We often dine, read and sleep with caped heroes.
