Shield Your Eyes

Aine's vest if finished, and she loves it. The colors are perfect for her. While hiking someone commented  on all her bright colors. She just knowingly smiled. Color is her thing. I am satisfied with the vest. I liked the pattern, but I did not love the yarn. It was nice to knit, but it has already started to pill. The yarn is single-ply, so I should have known. All the information is on Ravelry if you are interested.

  1. a girl after my own heart. be bright! i have to say i loved the yarn color wise, it just sort gets all pilly so quickly, such a bummer.
you know, i was toying with the idea of getting "naked" wool yarn and dying it with easter egg dye (like ginny did) and then knitting up some awesome rainbow magic!

  2. I hate when a loved knitted item pills. Really! I love your daughter's color choices. My daughter tends to pick something that pops :)

  5. The vest AND the cowl are great. She will definitely be seen in all that 'bush' with its drab coloring. Can't lose her for sure. Glad she likes the handmades and the colors. If only I were that brave when it comes to color.
